Laurie Rogers has vver 25 years in the opera business both artistically and administratively, and has a growing career as a conductor. She has served on the music staff of many US regional companies as assistant/cover conductor, rehearsal pianist and coach, backstage conductor, chorus master, harpsichord continuo accompaniment and other duties as needed. Artistic administration experience includes casting, negotiations (both agent and AGMA/AFM CBAs), season planning, and music administration. In 2011 she was named Director of Young Artists for Opera Saratoga and made her mainstage conducting debut with the company in 2012. She also has experiencing offering master classes for singers and coach-accompanists, and European experience teaching in Italy summer training program as well as summer production tours.

Specialties: World premieres of A COFFIN IN EGYPT, MOBY-DICK, CYRANO, MARGARET GARNER, THE MIDNIGHT ANGEL, THE DREAM OF VALENTINO; US premiere THE VANISHING BRIDEGROOM – extensive work with composers editing scores and coaching singers in creation of roles. Familiarity with Sibelius music software. Exceptional sight-reading and accompaniment skills.
